Nicola Bonthrone is a family law and court solicitor at McArthur Stanton where she is a partner based in the firm's Helensburgh office.

A graduate of The University of Dundee having qualified in 1990 she has more than 25 years of experience in advising on all aspects of family law including financial and child related issues on separation and divorce and in general disputes. She regularly appears at Dumbarton Sheriff and other local courts where she has conducted hearings and proofs for both private and legally aided clients.

Nicola is a member of the Family Law Association and is one of the first solicitors in the Dunbartonshire area to be accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as a Family Mediator. As a member of CALM (Comprehensive Accredited Lawyer Mediators) Scotland, Nicola can through mediation, help separated couples and family members who want to avoid the stress of a court environment to achieve a peaceful and constructive resolution to difficult family situations.

In addition to her family law, civil court and mediation work Nicola has many years of experience in summary criminal court matters including road traffic law.

If you have been injured in an accident Nicola can assist you to pursue a claim on a no win no fee basis. She also handles domestic conveyancing, wills, powers of attorney and guardianship orders.

Priding herself on having an approachable and straightforward manner Nicola is happy to accept instructions from both private and legally aided clients.

In her spare time Nicola enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter with whom she lives locally in Helensburgh. To get away from it all she enjoys walking, keep fit and musical theatre.
