For the last 17 years, Derek Bowman has been our Property Manager, head of an experienced team offering property marketing throughout Scotland via GSPC, On The Market and Rightmove.
Now, after 44 years of valuing property (33 of which were spent as an estate agent in this locality), he's decided to hang up his tape measure for the very last time!
Over the years Derek has thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many clients and looking at homes of all shapes and sizes. He is also very grateful for all the fantastic support he has received during this time from so many people. We would like to thank him so much for the time he has spent with McArthur Stanton, for his expertise and his friendship, and wish him a long, well-deserved and happy retirement.
Derek's successor is Sarah Calderwood (nee Osborne), the daughter of Margery and the late Allan Osborne, who's surname is synonymous with property in Helensburgh.
After leaving school, Sarah qualified as a paediatric occupational therapist working for the NHS. She then changed careers, joining BMI and travelling the world. That said, effectively she has been ingrained in the property market of Helensburgh and the surrounding areas since birth. In the last six years she has worked with another two estate agents in the town, and focusing solely on the local market, swiftly progressed to branch manager with her previous employer.
Sarah is settling in very well as Derek's successor, and with her wealth of local knowledge and experience, will continue the friendly service that Derek and McArthur Stanton have been renowned for.
